Retreats

Fall Retreat

Every fall, senior high students head to a camp a few hours away for an amazing weekend of crazy fun, deep connection, engaging worship, and relevant teaching. Our primary tradition is a flag football tournament where classes don their colors and compete on the gridiron! You don’t have to be good at football to attend, each team’s cheering section plays a vital role in their class’s success! The winning class claims their trophy and bragging rights for the year. Beyond the football tournament, the weekend is a great setting to meet new friends and to make lifelong memories. New to NXT? This is the perfect opportunity for you to get plugged in!

Winter Retreat

Let’s face it, winter in Minnesota is COLD! We do our best to beat the winter blues by heading to a camp for some wintertime enjoyment! This retreat is hosted by our senior class, which means they will run games, lead worship, share testimonies, and be the primary speakers for the weekend. You can bet that the weekend will not be one you want to miss out on! Our primary tradition at this retreat is the annual Lip Sync Competition! This is open to anyone who wants to compete, so start putting a group together and rehearsing your choreography, the retreat will be here before you know it!
Jan 18 -20, 2019
Cost: Now Cost $165 through Dec 31, 2018 -  After New Years Cost $175

Foundations

The Student Ministries Vision is to bring, stir, equip, and send students. Part of our strategy for accomplishing our vision is by offering Foundations for grade 12 students. Foundations can be broken into three parts: content, involvement, and trips.

Notes:

  • This year's program is already in progress. Current students can find the online content here.
  • The Freshman Foundations material will now be a part of Student Go Teams (short-term mission trips): Italy, Spain, and Lead the Cause.

Compass

Compass is a public school ministry of Grace Church. Our mission is to connect, equip, and encourage the Christian community within our public schools. We come alongside Christian educators, parents, and students empowering them not to check their faith at the public school door but to live out their faith on this unique mission field in a God-honoring way.

Since our start in 2013 Compass has brought together a community of over 1,000 Christian educators and families across 50 districts in the metro area and beyond.

The Goals of Compass

  • Connect the Christian public school community at both school and district levels as well as corporately throughout the metro and beyond.
  • Equip educators, parents, and students to understand and live out their religious liberties as Christians within the public schools.
  • Support efforts to bring God's Word into our public schools through student-led Bible studies and Good News Clubs.
  • Equip Christian educators and parents through workshops and seminars on relevant topics.
  • Build strong relationships between church and school, showing Christ's love by meeting our schools' most basic needs.
  • Work in partnership with other Christian organizations and ministries serving within our public schools.
  • Pray faithfully for our schools and those within these walls.
  • Share the vision of public school ministry and encourage churches to intentionally support this mission field.

It is our prayer that Compass can encourage and embolden those called to the mission field of the public schools so that the name of Jesus will be proclaimed on our campuses and His love, truth, and righteousness will flourish in our classrooms.
