Learn more about this trip at our information meeting on Sunday, April 7, at noon in room 152 at Grace Church Chaska.
Our team is looking for people who are ready and willing to engage with Indonesians through cross-cultural activities and translated conversation. We hope you will listen to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and be ready to share from your life, Bibles stories, and God’s Truth as He Leads.
Due to the nature and remoteness of this team, it is best if you are in reasonably good health and physical condition, as life in these remote Indonesian villages can be demanding. This mission is for the adventurous, as we'll be immersing ourselves in a floor-sitting culture with squatty potties, hikes, swimming, and sleeping on the floor. Although remote, it is also one of the most beautiful places in the world and you will be in awe of God’s beautiful creation.
Embracing the Luke 10 approach, we are dedicated to listening and following the Holy Spirit's direction. This refers to going out as Jesus sent His disciples in Luke 10, looking for persons of peace who open up their households and families to hear the Gospel. We believe that God guides us where we should go, whom we should meet and how we will best be serve. This means we may not always have all the details in advance, from where we'll sleep to what we'll eat for a particular meal.
One of the highlights of this trip is staying in Muslim homes of unreached people groups. Join us on this life-changing adventure!
