Reports to: Director of Adult Ministries of Grace Church Chaska
Location: Chaska
Hours/week: 28 hours/week
FLSA Classification: Exempt

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Chaska Women’s Ministry Manager will lead all ministry geared specifically toward women at Grace Chaska. In collaboration with the Grace Church Chaska Director of Adult Ministries (GCCDAM), this leader will provide direction and foster the health and growth of the women’s ministry at Chaska. The scope of this responsibility includes overseeing the women’s small groups, as well as the appropriate integration of other elements of women’s ministry, such as women’s events, classes, and counseling. Partner with the GCCDAM and GCWD to determine priorities for the women’s ministry to achieve Grace Church Chaska goals.

  • Build a culture in women’s ministry that is consistent with Grace Chaska culture, focusing on equipping the leaders for ministry and helping participants grow in all 7 vital signs.
  • Oversee women’s small groups:
    • Collaborate with GCCDAM and GCWD on content and schedule.
    • Determine and execute content training needs.
    • Collaborate with GCCDAM.
    • Support small group leaders through coaching and appreciation.
  • Determine additional ministry needs at Chaska, including events and classes, and build a team to execute. (Past examples: Mama Bear Apologetics, Bible Basics, Women’s Prayer & Praise).
  • Recruit volunteer support for areas of need and build an apprenticeship culture in small groups.
  • Coordinate any communication and promotion needs for women’s activities.
  • Help conduct Membership and Baptism interviews with women who attend Grace Chaska.
  • Support the leadership of Women’s and Couple’s Small Groups. Participate in bi-monthly meetings and collaborate with GCCDAM and Men’s and Couple’s ministry leaders.
  • Help coordinate and facilitate the ministry of Re:Generation at Grace Chaska, including providing care and support for the women’s leaders.
  • Support GCCDAM with women’s pastoral needs, including (but not limited to) care and counseling.
  • Collaborate with other Grace staff to improve effectiveness and address ministry gaps/overlaps.
  • Manage resources efficiently while staying within budget.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in Grace Church’s ministry team, or related pastoral experience preferred.
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
  • Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
  • Aligned with Grace Chaska's vision of shepherding and group multiplication.
  • For Pastoral Ministries Staff positions, the staff member is willing to become a member of Grace Church, regularly and consistently attending the weekend worship services and participating in the life of the church.
  • Has demonstrated skills in relating to and working with people, especially volunteers, church staff, the congregation and others, within a team environment.
  • Other desired skills include: casting vision and building desired culture, developing a strong leadership team, recruitment, conflict resolution, coaching team members on discipleship, and administration (strong personally or ability to leverage processes to manage multiple details).
  • Has demonstrated a spiritual capacity and heart willingness to view this ministry as a being a ministry unto the Lord, by serving the body of Grace Church.
  • Compatibility with the Grace Church Mission, Vision, Values, and Priorities and a lifestyle appropriate to a person in Christian Ministry.
  • Has a commitment to prayer, as evidenced in both corporate and personal prayer times.
