POSITION STRUCTURE AND DETAILS

Reports to: Director of Young Adults
Location: Eden Prairie
Hours/week: 20 hours
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Young Adult Ministry Female Associate will support the Young Adult Director in fostering a culture of disciple multiplication within the young adult ministry. She will support the mission, vision, and strategy of Young Adult ministries seeking to make young adult disciples of Jesus Christ across the street and around the world. Specifically, the Young Adult Ministry Female Associate will provide administrative support for the Young Adult Director with weekly programming, outreaches and events.

Administration & Support:

  • Provide general administrative task support to the Director of NXT-YA. 
  • Set up and prepare for Tuesday night NXT-YA Community Group.
  • Support the administrative components of the NXT-YA worship team: structure, scheduling, and personnel.
  • Execute communications and social media plan.
  • Support any external events such as retreats and mission trips.
  • Explore and implement additional training options for NXT-YA leaders in coordination with Director.
  • Help cultivate a fun, inviting environment for the community group times (Tuesday) and leader meetings.
  • Investigate and implement in coordination with Director creative ways to empower young adults to help with various administration duties (i.e. set up team, food team, etc.).
  • Own the onboarding process for new guests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and volunteers.
  • Self-motivated and able to initiate projects, work independently, and troubleshoot.
  • Possess great attention to detail.
