Position Structure and Details

Reports to: Senior Director of Operations
Location: Eden Prairie Campus
Hours/week: Minimum 30 hours/ week
FLSA Classification: Exempt

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all areas of HR compliance including: federal and state regulations, ACA reporting requirements, OSHA reporting requirements• Oversee all areas of HR compliance including: federal and state regulations, ACA reporting requirements, OSHA reporting requirements
  • Continuously update Grace Church's Staff Handbook to include necessary changes and enhancements• Manage compensation requests submitted by management, complete market compensation analysis and execute annual compensation adjustment programs
  • Collaborate with the HR Associate to effectively manage hiring timelines and priorities
  • Create training programs for employee development for new and existing staff
  • Perform employee terminations, conduct exit interviews, performance improvement plans, and other disciplinary action
  • Facilitate and execute annual benefits renewals and employee annual renewal meeting
  • Lead the Annual Performance management program, training management and providing them tools and resources
  • Act as trusted liaison for all employees, and a strategic resource for our senior leadership team to ensure fair and consistent HR practices are administered
  • Define and promote career path development and succession planning for various roles within the organization
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing and resolving concerns, grievances or other issues
  • Manage all claims for STD, LTD, FMLA, LOA, Workers Compensation
  • Support the recognition programs of Grace Church, including monthly birthday and anniversaries the annual Christmas party and Staff Recognition Day

  • Assist the Sr. Director of Operations with shaping the organizational culture of Grace Church
  • Other duties as assigned 

Professional and Spiritual Expectations

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communication or psychology, Human Resources emphasis
  • A minimum of 5 years in Human Resources required
  • Demonstrated strategic and tactical leadership experience
  • Current knowledge and experience applying federal and state employment law
  • Proficient in computer skills: MS Office-Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio. HR Management system experience is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to manage confidential information with the highest levels of integrity
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit
  • Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20)
  • Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations
