Reports to: Director of Grace Kids
Location: Eden Prairie Campus
Hours/week: 40
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, training, and leadership for Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, summer programming, and special events
- Develop curriculum schedules for all elementary children programming
- Create, plan, and promote summer events that are outreach focused
- Maintain and update technology and media throughout Grace Kids
- Oversee online communication with leaders, parents and kids
- Supervise and manage Elementary Associate and Elementary Program Associate
- Demonstrate a reliance on God through a personal commitment to prayer and expectation that God will do great things at Grace Kids
- Communicate spiritual truths to and aid in the spiritual growth of children
- Manage annual recruitment of volunteers to ensure proper ratios of leaders to students; develop effective leaders and grow leader retention levels
- Shepherd parents through leadership and effective communication on how to raise their children for Christ and create an effective follow up program for spiritual milestones
- Cooperate with other Grace Kids staff for department-wide events
- Create and effectively manage Elementary budget
- Assist with church-wide events
- Other duties as assigned
Professional and Spiritual Expectations
- Experience required: 5+ years of experience in Children’s ministry or related leadership/management experience
- Education required: Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Elementary Education or other relevant focus
- License/Ordination: Ability to become licensed by Grace Church
- Successful history of connecting with, teaching, and discipling kids and parents
- Demonstrate a personal passion to minister to people within the context of the local church
- Ability to teach and instruct based on thorough knowledge of the Word of God
- Proven ability to effectively execute vision and shepherd a ministry team
- Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit
- Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20)
- Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations
- Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church
