Go Teams

Our mission as a church is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ across the street and around the world. One way we do this is by going boldly outside of our cultural context on a short-term mission trip.

When we commit to go, we surrender our plans to God and say, "Here am I, Lord, send me." We are all called to go, but "Where?" and "How long?" are the questions we must prayerfully consider. We must also consider the cost of time and treasure while remembering the gain of life-changing global impact, an expanded view of God’s love for the world, and an increased desire and ability to share our faith at home.

Minnesota (Royal Family Kids Camp)

Go Team, USA, Local

Local USA

Serve foster children from the Twin Cities metro area as a camp counselor or support staff at a private location. The primary purpose of Royal Family Kids Camp is to give children in foster care, ages 6-12, a week of positive memories and royal treatment in a Christian camp environment. Each child that attends Royal Family Kids Camp will receive attention and encouragement from an adult camp counselor (i.e., his/her “buddy camper”). Each camper is exposed to a variety of fun activities where they learn more about their Heavenly Father and how incredibly valued and loved they are by Him. For most of these children, it’s the best week of the year — a special time when they can focus on having fun and enjoy being a kid.

Team member opportunities include:

  • 1:1 Camp Counselor
  • Support Staff
  • Craft Leader
  • Licensed Nurse
  • Licensed Social Worker

Date: July 19-24, 2020

Notes: This trip requires a training and screening process.

Go Teams

The comfort zone is the danger zone.

It’s very easy to sit in the comfort of our homes, American culture, and our Christian cocoon while losing sight of the world Jesus calls us to reach with the good news of the Gospel. Make this the year you join us on one of our Go Teams.
