POSITION STRUCTURE AND DETAILS

Reports to: Senior Director of Missions & Evangelism
Location: Eden Prairie
Hours/week: 40 hours/week
FLSA Classification: Exempt

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Success in this position will be found in someone who can work together as a member of the Grace missions’ team to be responsible for ENGAGE Strategy activation and implementation throughout Grace Church ministries. This position is responsible for creating and delivering effective and impactful communications for Grace Church Missions and will plan and execute Missions events. The position reports to the Senior Director of Missions and Evangelism. The Director of ENGAGE Implementation will be responsible for:

1. ENGAGE Vision integration, working collaboratively to activate and implement the ENGAGE strategy within all existing and future Grace Ministries. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
a. Coordinating with ministry leaders to assess and develop programs, projects and curriculum inculcating the ENGAGE strategy.  
b. Creating ministry partnerships to enhance shared ENGAGE vision.  
c. Integrate group curriculum/study focused on ENGAGE and activation of every member/attendee. 
d. Coordinate ENGAGE Communication plan implementation under leadership of Comms and Senior Director of Missions & Evangelism.
e. Facilitate each ministry adopting a global/local annual trip.

2. Design, plan, and coordinate Mission/ENGAGE Events, such as:
a. Fall and Spring Missions/ENGAGE Sundays.
b. Miscellaneous mission events, conferences, training events, etc. throughout the year.
c. Recruit, encourage and train missions volunteers to assist with events.

3. Prepare and execute Mission/ENGAGE Specific Communications: (working closely with Comms Team and Sr. Director of Missions). These communications include, but are not limited to:
a. Missions videos, social media communications, messaging and Sunday commissioning of missionaries and short-term trip participants.
b. Prayer journal, calendar & newsletters. Content for these publications will be provided by the Director of Mobilization and Missionaries. The Director of Engage Integration will be responsible to utilize the provided content and produce mission communications.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Educational requirements: bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience required: 5+ years’ relevant experience, including Missions, project coordination, and communications. 
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.  
  • Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20). 
  • Always display a passion for the Great Commandment, to love God and neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:36 –40)
  • Efficient in using general business software programs and become proficient in software used by Grace Church to schedule events, track data etc. 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (Publisher or design software preferred) 
  • Skilled in proofreading and writing, and social media communication.
  • Handle phone calls and email messages promptly.
    • Become familiar with and have a sincere interest in the total scope of the ministry of the Missions Team to assist to the maximum. 
    • Demonstrates excellent time management and executes duties efficiently with attention to detail and minimal errors. 
    • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. 
    • Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations. 
  • Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in its life.
