POSITION STRUCTURE AND DETAILS

Reports to: Sr. Director of Engagement
Location: Eden Prairie
Hours/week: 15 hours/week
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Small Groups & Community Groups Coordinator will support the Engagement Ministry through the following initiatives:

  • Administrate all Community Groups and Classes held at the Eden Prairie campus, including data management, information collection, room reservations, event scheduling, and support for group leaders and participants.
  • Administrate Off-Campus Small Groups, including data maintenance, reservation coordination, maintaining a Small Group Leader resource site, training and event scheduling, and supporting group leaders and members.
  • Collaborate with Communications to ensure the Grace website and App is regularly updated with information on Community Groups, Classes, and Small groups.
  • Maintain the Small Group Resource website, providing up-to-date resources to assist leaders in onboarding new members and providing leadership support.
  • Collaborate with other Adult Ministry staff to enhance program effectiveness and alignment.
  • Coordinate with the First Impressions team to help facilitate connections for individuals seeking involvement in Community Groups, Classes, and Small groups.
  • Contribute to the planning, oversight, and execution of Engagement department events, including Discover Grace and other leader appreciation events.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Experience: 1-2 successful years of administrative experience.
  • Small Group or Community Group involvement is helpful.
  • Working technical knowledge of database entry, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Displays an attitude of commitment to prayer and specific prayers among volunteers concerning their mission-centric service.
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
  • Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
  • Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
  • Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church.
  • Ability to relate to and effectively communicate with Grace staff, volunteers and church attenders.
