POSITION STRUCTURE AND DETAILS
Reports to: Director of First Impressions
Location: Eden Prairie
Hours/week: 20 - 28 hours
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The First Impressions Coordinator will coordinate volunteers, volunteer schedules, and related activities while supporting the First Impressions Director in the following initiatives:
- Assist in equipping and inspiring our volunteers to create an inclusive environment where our guests feel noticed and known.
- Assist in fostering fellowship amongst team members at weekly huddles.
- Utilize church database (CCB) to organize and maintain volunteer lists.
- Manage volunteer participation schedules for Sunday morning services.
- Manage volunteer participation for holidays such as Thanksgiving, Good Friday and Christmas Eve.
- Connect and develop relationships with our team.
- Assist Director in building and supporting First Impressions Team Leaders.
- Equip Info Centers and Guest Central with helpful information.
- Onboard, equip new & existing volunteers according to First Impressions' goals and vision.
- Maintain usher room, info centers and huddle room.
- Work with other departments: Communications, and Production Arts on church-wide initiatives.
- Use Social Media and photography to create a community within our teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS
- Ability to relate to and effectively communicate with Grace staff, volunteers and church attenders.
- Strong working technical knowledge of databases (creating forms) or aptitude to learn.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, and occasional use of Excel.
- Availability to support the First Impressions Director with Sunday morning services.
- Displays an attitude of commitment to prayer and specific prayers among volunteers concerning mission-centric service.
- Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
- Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
- Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
- Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church.
