Engagement Ministries Associate


Position Structure and Details

Reports to: Sr Director of Engagement Ministries
Location: Eden Prairie Campus
Hours/week: 28 hours/week, Sun- Thur
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Engagement point-person:

  • Be the point-person for all aspects of the engagement process at Grace Church: The Path = Place (Guest Central), Program (Discover Online/LIVE), Pipelines, Placement) for all in-person and online first-time guests and long-time attenders
  • Collaborate & coordinate with staff in weekly execution of our engagement process
  • Support in recruiting and managing volunteers

Small Group/Community Group Coordinator:

  • Administrate all aspects related to small groups and community groups, including maintaining data, collecting information, scheduling training/events, and communication with Group Leaders and Coaches
  • Help plan, oversee and execute events within the department such as CONNECTIONS Nights and Leader Appreciation Events, etc

Administrative support:

  • Daily administrative duties, including correspondence with volunteers and other Grace Church staff. Process all incoming and outgoing mail & email
  • Coordination, scheduling and planning of meetings for the Sr. Dir of Engagement Ministries and keeping the ministry calendar updated with meetings, trainings, events, MOC, etc
  • Updating CCB. Scheduling room reservations and technical equipment needs including for the department. Work with the Hospitality Department on food and set ups for events
  • Oversee the department’s budget, including routine expenses and payment
  • Work with Communications department for clear communications, promotions, print material, website updates & social media presence
  • Other projects and/or initiatives as assigned by supervisor

Professional and Spiritual Expectations

  • Minimum of 2+ successful years of volunteer coordination experience required
  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Working technical knowledge of database entry (CCB), Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal
  • Displays an attitude of commitment to prayer and specific prayers among volunteers concerning their mission centric service
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit
  • Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20)
  • Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations
  • Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church

Ability to relate to and effectively communicate with Grace staff, volunteers and church attenders
