Hours / week: 20 hours

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Human Resources Associate will support the selection, hiring and onboarding for Grace Church, as well as providing administrative assistance in the following areas: 

  • Provide recruitment coordination to support the staffing needs of the church
  • Manage in-take meetings with hiring managers in collaboration with the HR Manage
  • Schedule and conduct phone screen
  • Coordinate in-person interviews with the hiring team
  • Implement and manage the HRIS recruitment and candidate management tool
  • Update and create job descriptions and post open positions on job boards
  • Conduct reference checks calls for top selected candidates
  • Expend offers of employment to selected candidates
  • Manage the new hire onboarding process, including preparation, paperwork, compensation agreements, and scheduling welcome orientation items
  • Enhance new hire training programs for employee development and assimilation
  • Administer staff recognition programs as directed by the HR Manager
  • Administer personnel files under Federal and State law and HR best practices
  • Other duties as assigned               

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication or Psychology, Human Resources emphasis preferred
  • 1+ years’ in recruitment and new hire orientation required
  • HRIS experience, Kronos tool preferred
  • Proficient in computer skills: MS Office-Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio. HR Management system experience is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to manage confidential information with the highest levels of integrity
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit

  • Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20)

  • Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church
